We’re Joining the “Design Squad”
Not that we haven’t completely lost interest in that other design reality show (actually, we have, except we still find ourselves captivated by Kelly Wearstler‘s outfits), but how could we choose lemon-scented parties on Bravo when there are kids building roadsters over on PBS?
“Design Squad” throws kids into killer product design and engineering challenges, from building musical instruments for a local band to creating peanut butter making machines for a women’s collective in Haiti. The first episode had the eight teens converting a tricycle and a red kiddie wagon into motorized vehicles, which they race on a New England speedway.
Besides, wisecracking teen Tom beats snotty, overly-smug Michael any day.
