What’s Up With That? (A Late Second)
Haagen Dazs has recently redone their packaging. It’s pretty bad. The new look smacks of corporate blandness, which is appropriate, considering that they are owned by a huge conglomerate, but up until now it was relatively easy to buy in to the myth of European luxury that they were so successful at conveying. (So successful that the first page of google results on Haagen Dazs +marketing search is rife with links to term-papers-for-sale.)
I couldn’t pull an image off their Flash based site*, but you can go have a look for yourself. I’ll write more on this later, but right this minute I’m running late for an important meeting.
*Someone recently told me that there’s freeware that allows you to grab images off of Flash sites, if you know what they’re talking about, please email info to jen AT unbeige DOT com. Having a tool like this may make me ever so slightly less cranky about Flash sites.
