Set at the fictional Sterling Cooper ad agency in 1960, the show glamorizes the glorious golden age of advertising. The AMC series–created by “Sopranos” writer Matthew Weiner–takes us back to a time when secretaries performed more than clerical work, smoking in meetings was required and lunch was three double martinis.
