Web developer Apture has entered into an agreement with news giant Reuters.com. Reuters editors and writers will now be able to more easily layer videos, maps, images, slideshows, documents, and audio into their stories.

"We are excited to be part of the site's roadmap for leveraging technology to transform the online experience," said Tristan Harris, Apture's CEO and Co-Founder.

The announcement comes on the heels of Apture's completion of a $4.1 million Series-A funding round led by Clearstone Venture Partners. Apture includes Reuters, BBC News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and San Francisco Chronicle among its clients

Apture was founded by three Stanford Alumni whose goal was to improve how news was consumed online.
