The AP reports Reveille productions and Brillstein Entertainment are developing an unscripted series based on Twitter. The reality show will invite 140-character postings from members around the world.

"The show would harness Twitter to put players on the trail of celebrities in an interactive, competitive format," reports the AP. And that's got the celebrity king of Twitter worried. Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk - 1,902,003 followers) Tweets, "Wow I hope this isn't true. I really don't like being sold out. May have to take a twitter hiatus."

"Twitter is transforming the way people communicate, especially celebrities and their fans," said Reveille managing director Howard T. Owens.

As for Twitter's participation, co-founder Biz Stone writes that the site has a "lightweight, non-exclusive, agreement with the producers which helps them move forward more freely."

B&C's Alex Weprin reports Twitter has other television projects in the works too. "Next month MTV will launch The Alexa Chung Show, which will prominently feature the service." Weprin reports Twitter is also working with other networks, including ABC and G4.
