Be careful what you tweet: It may come back to bite you.

Amanda Bonnen, a resident of Chicago's North Side Uptown neighborhood, tweeted her 15 Twitter followers, “Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon realty thinks it's okay." Horizon Realty responded by suing Bonnen for publishing false and defamatory information in her tweet, CNET reported.

Bonnen's Twitter account is set to "public," so everyone following on Twitter was able to view the defamatory statement, the lawsuit said, seeking compensation of $50,000.
