Buffer, the popular social media optimising app that lets you easily share content on Twitter (and other social platforms) throughout the day, continues to roll out new updates at an impressive pace. This year we’ve already had native retweeting, Echofon functionality and Buffer business plans, and today the company unveils its latest feature: custom scheduling.
Previously, scheduling on Buffer was automatically spaced out over the day. Now, users can set a specific date and time for when their updates go live. You can custom schedule any content you like, including native retweets directly from Twitter.com and full-sized images to Facebook. The new functionality works on desktop, iPhone and Android.
With this update Buffer positions itself to take on the industry-standard for scheduling social media posts: HootSuite. And with the company’s rapid growth, which now includes 850,000 users and over $1.5 million in annual revenue, they certainly have momentum on their side.
