State Of Social Sharing: Pinterest Outgrows Facebook, Twitter (And Is Now Bigger Than Email) [STUDY]
2013 was a bumper year for social media with all the top sites recording at least one significant milestone moment, but it’s perhaps Pinterest that has been the most impressive, showing off some surprisingly powerful legs, reveals a new study.
In their Q4 2013 Consumer Sharing Trends report, ShareThis observed that Pinterest is now outpacing email to become the third most popular sharing channel behind Facebook and Twitter (respectively). However, Pinterest’s 58 percent year-on-year sharing growth rate finished tops overall, a whisker ahead of Facebook (+57 percent year-on-year) but well ahead of Twitter (+15 percent).
Sharing via email dipped 11 percent in 2013.
