South by Southwest (SXSW) starts tomorrow (March 8-17, 2013), offering its typically unique mix of music, film and technology.

SXSW Interactive is the five-day tech portion of the conference, focusing on emerging technology, and it has become enormously important for startups looking to get noticed. After launching nine months previously, Twitter attended SXSW in 2008 and blew up.
