Indeed, Twitter saw some 15.2 million tweets during the awards, peaking at 171,593 tweets per minute (TPM) during the Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar performance.

Last night’s GRAMMY awards gathered together the stars of music from around the world, and fans took to Twitter en masse to chat about the evening’s winners and losers, once again illustrating the micro-blogging network’s growing importance as a social television platform.
