Halloween (or Hallowe’en or All Hallows’ Eve, depending on where you are) is celebrated in some capacity (with a few notable exceptions) in almost every major country around the world, and carving pumpkins into spooky Jack-o’-lanterns is a very popular pursuit that dates back centuries.

Indeed, some people take it all very seriously indeed, and one can be both humbled by some of the amazing creations you see on the interwebs, and invigorated by many of the disasters.
