Amazon.com’s net sales hit $17.09 billion in Q3, up 24 percent from the comparable quarter last year, in which the company earned $13.81 billion.
GalleyCat has more: “The company announced its financial results for its third quarter today, and reported that its operating cash flow increased 48 percent to $4.98 billion for the trailing twelve months. In addition, the e-commerce giant revealed that its operating loss was $25 million in the third quarter, down from an operating loss of $28 million which the company experienced in the third quarter of 2012.”
During the quarter of Amazon launched the Appstore Developer Select, a program designed to help developers optimize their apps in Amazon’s Appstore and on it new Fire OS. Here is more from the press release: “Appstore Developer Select apps receive premium placement in the Amazon Appstore, 500,000 ad impressions on the Amazon Mobile Ad Network, and automatic inclusion in the Amazon Appstore Coins Reward category. Customers will receive Amazon Coins when they purchase Appstore Developer Select apps, games, and in-app items. Developers in the program also receive credits equaling 25% off their first $2,000 in AWS services annually.”
