While traveling abroad, my iPhone cable stopped working so my 5s died completely.
I frequently use Argus to track my steps (highly recommended if you have any health bands or accessories) since it takesadvantage of the M7 chip built into the phone. Read more

Ever texting with a friend and wishing you could just pop in an infinity symbol or maybe the copyright mark? You won’t find it under your iPhone’s standard keyboard. Or are you emailing with a client and trying to send a quick piece of HTML code? A new iOS app lets users access special character symbols, including math symbols, Greek symbols and their corresponding HTML.
Simbol’s developer said that as a math major he’s often frustrated trying to take notes on a iOS-based devices:
I developed the app to address one of the most annoying things about writing on iOS: finding symbols. I am a mathematics major and also study quite a lot of physics. Both require a very frequent use of symbols and characters which aren’t found on QWERTY keyboards. OS X has a very handy keyboard and character viewer that carries a big chunk of the Unicode library. However, iOS has nothing that comes even remotely close. I created a library of LaTeX snippets in TextExpander but that mostly went away with iOS 7. As a result, I am practically unable to take notes on iOS in most of my classes.

The rise of iPhone theft have made the crime so prevalent, they’ve been dubbed Apple Picking. If you’re a victim, you’ve probably considered the Yellow Jacket’s iPhone case and taser in one. Last year, the company introduced a weaker model for $99, but the new case design comes with 950,00 volts and 1.3 milliamps. According to users and those willing to test the taser’s effects, the first model was not strong enough, but this new model was capable of giving arm spasms.
Apple’s new mobile operating system, iOS 7 have only been around for a hot minute, and if you’ve been paying close attention, there’s been plenty of changes since June of 2013, when Apple released the first beta of the new OS.

Mophie makes great cases that allows you to add juice to your phone on the go – great for long extended trips away from power sources. Now, the company is adding a much needed file storage to their cases – all you have to do is put in your phone and use the accompanying Space app to store, access, and share your files. We think it’s great for storing movies on those painfully boring long flights.
Apple and many other larger companies are continuously acquiring startups, many of which have developed great apps we’ve featured, so it’s no surprise that SnappyLabs was snapped up by Apple so quickly – there were many offers coming from multiple companies to purchase the one-man company who developed the app SnappyCam, probably the fastest mobile camera app around.
Built by John Papandriopoulos, the app gave the iPhone camera some great features for burst mode photography. The app utilized great jpeg formatting that allowed the phone to compress images much faster than without the app, which meant users can get great shots of movements without losing quality. Read more

It won’t turn your smartphone or tablet into an indestructible brick, but it’s well-priced and makes everyday dropping less painful for your phone.
