Copia Partners To Power eBook Distribution For Australian Bookstores

Social reading platform Copia has partnered with two Australian book entities — the Australian Publishers Association (APA) and QBD The Bookshop, the largest company-owned retail book chain in Australia.

Copia will power the APA’s eBook new subscription-based supply chain eBook tool. The new TitlePage Plus offering is a fulfillment toolset for bookstores to sell both print books and eBooks. Macmillan, Penguin Group, Random House, Wiley, Allen & Unwin, Cambridge University Press, Hachette, Harper Collins, and Simon & Schuster, all offer titles for sale through this platform. Similarly, QBD The Bookshop will now be selling eBooks directly to customers through a back end that is powered by Copia.

“The Australian book industry values a partner like Copia to enable bookshops, retailers and publishers to compete against larger international outlets,” stated Ben Lowinger, EVP of Copia. “There is an emerging need for new platforms as the convergence of digital media and publishing becomes increasingly mainstream within this sector. Copia is proud to be a part of this evolution and to help drive this next wave of innovation.”
