Pinterest is now available in Barnes & Noble’s Nook app store. The app will come preloaded on Nook devices along with Twitter and Facebook apps. Existing owners can download the Pinterest app for free from the Nook Store.
“Pinterest has long been one of our most requested apps and we are thrilled to bring it to NOOK, along with the Twitter and Facebook for NOOK apps,” said Claudia Romanini, VP of Nook Apps at Nook Media, in a statement. “Our goal is to bring NOOK users the very best in social media and these apps will bring to life the rich sharing experiences that Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter offer.”
Nook has been expanding its app offerings over the past month. Last month, Barnes & Noble announced that developers will be able to add in-app purchase features to apps sold in the Nook app store beginning this month.
