Website Uses Facial Recognition to Photoshop Instagram Selfies With Nicolas Cage Faces

The weird part of the internet is full of Nicolas Cage, but it’s likely to be full of selfies, your’s included. It’s Called Feeling Cagey?, and it’s full of creep factors.¬†First, the website is not an Instagram approved app. It’s just a robot that seeks out Instagram photos with faces, then replaces the faces with a Nicolas Cage Face. The stream is constantly filled with new material from unknowing users, which is why they disappear after 5 minutes.

Created by software developer Josh McMillan, the algorithm can handle about 30 photos every minute – a staggering number, but nowhere near the amount of photos posted on Instagram every minute:

It pulls in about 30 photos every minute. It can’t do every photo which goes to Instagram because that would be a ridiculous amount.

Personally, I feel like it’s more creepy and not as fun as Nicolas-Cage-Cats. I’m just waiting to see a photo I can recognize… are you on there?
