CNN Names Ed Henry's Successor; Pogue in Hot Water... Again

June 28, 2011
Jeff Probst is (finally!) getting another gig. The longtime host of Survivor will launch a daytime talk show in the fall of 2012. Bonnier Corp hires Sean Holzman as its first chief brand development officer. His job, basically, boils down to figuring out how to make more money for the publishing house's raft of titles...

The New York Times' David Pogue runs afoul of the company's ethics policy once again. Although it's unclear if he is getting paid, he is still likely in violation of the paper's strict stance. A spokesperson said editors are "discussing this outside engagement" with Pogue, but it's hard to think too much will come of it. He's far too valuable for the paper of record to lose him...

Former Philadelphia Inquirer journo Bill Marimow joins the faculty at Arizona State University where he'll lead the Carnegie-Knight News21 in-depth digital journalism program. Former Washington Post executive editor Leonard Downie Jr. also calls the school home... Former Washington City Paper editor Erik Wemple launches a blog on WashingtonPost.com. He had been editor of TBD.com... Politico snags Anna Palmer and Dave Levinthal to replace Chris Frates at Influence...

Jessica Yellin is indeed the new White House correspondent at CNN... Brian Kennedy returns to ABC News where he'll serve as executive director of newsgathering operations.
