Detroit News Buyouts; Bloomberg's Convention Dailies

Bloomberg is launching a series of daily magazines targeted to the Republican and Democratic conventions later this year. Bloomberg Insider "will run 32 pages per issue and pull from across Bloomberg's editorial resources, including Bloomberg Government, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg News and Bloomberg View," according to AdWeek. News managing editor Tim Franklin will handle the editor duties with Al Hunt on the reporting side and Arthur Hochstein manning the covers and art direction.
