Background: Draft, which launched in September 2006, appeals to beer drinkers and people hoping to increase their knowledge of beer. "While Draft has been very well-received by the brewing industry, it was never the magazine's intent to cater to it -- Draft has always been focused on the consumer," said managing editor Jessica Daynor. Draft targets beer enthusiasts and those who feel like sipping something new. "Our readers aren't chugging beer out of funnels. Instead, they host beer dinners, pair beer with everyday and specialty foods, travel the globe in search of new brews and more," Daynor said.
