Smile Train is an international not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York, whose vision is to transform the life of every person impacted by cleft lip and palate. Smile Train supports and trains doctors and medical professionals to provide free life-changing comprehensive cleft treatment to children in need. To date, Smile Train’s sustainable model, “teach a man to fish,” has allowed the organization to support 1.5+ million cleft surgeries around the world.
Smile Train seeks an inaugural Senior Vice President, Communications (SVP). The SVP will design and implement a strategic and operational plan for building and managing a comprehensive global communications strategy.
As the fulcrum of Smile Train’s communications strategy, the SVP will provide leadership and direction to strengthen and expand the brand reach and communications globally. They will define, shape and iterate on strategic communications initiatives to engage Smile Train’s key audiences. The successful candidate will build, bridge, and manage a comprehensive global communications strategy across Smile Train’s four key audiences: supporter audience (ambassadors, advocates, donors, and prospects), programs audience (medical partners, institutions, patients and families, government, and multilateral organizations), global audiences, and internal staff.
