NJ Gets Cooking

National Journal Group announced today that Fast Company senior editor and writer Nancy Cook will become the publication’s new chief budget and tax writer. She begins on Aug. 22.

Fast Company is a monthly business magazine. Cook formerly worked at Newsweek and and won the New York Press Club Award for Best Business Reporting in 2010. Other previous employers include NPR, where she worked in their Election Unit, and WRNI, the Rhode Island NPR affiliate. She began her journalism career as a daily newspaper reporter at The Standard-Times in New Bedford, Mass.

College: Carlton

Graduate: Columbia School of Journalism

UPDATE: A correction. We misread the release that stated an award won by Cook. She won the New York Press Club award for business writing, not a National Press Club award. We mistakenly had Washington on our minds.
