What: The Library of Congress will host a press conference with Sir Paul McCartney on the eve of his receipt of the Library’s third Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

When: Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 5-5:30 p.m.

Where: The Library of Congress, Thomas Jefferson Building, Room 119, 10 First Street S.E., Washington, D.C. (use carriage entrance, lower level)

President Obama will present McCartney the award in a special tribute concert at the White House on June 2. The event will be air on PBS stations nationwide on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 8 p.m. (EST).
