CNN’s Lucky Penny Party

Whoever says a penny won’t get you anywhere, probably wasn’t on the guest list for CNN’s private party following the Congressional Correspondents Dinner last night.  While most attendees of the dinner trickled out of the ballroom for an obligatory nightcap at the NCTA reception, the lucky few holding one of CNN’s lucky pennies (left) partied the night away at Lincoln. Guests at the top-secret fete were treated to live music, an open bar and  a sneak preview of the glam resto-lounge set to open its doors to the public in mid-April.  CNN’s Piers Morgan, Edie Emery, Jill Chappell, Jennifer Scoggins, Sam Feist, Michelle Jaconi, Megan Grant, Christa Robinson, Peter Hamby, Alexander Mooney, Jeff Simon, Peter Morris, Evan Glass and Ed Hornick entertained dinner guests and friends of the network until well after midnight.  Spotted mingling on the copper penny-tiled floors were Embassy of Poland’s Art Orkisz, Victoria Michael, AAA’s Peter Nonis, ABC News’ John Hendren, WaPo‘s Amy Argetsinger and WJLA’s Philip Stewart and Rebecca Cooper.

Celebs Tim Daly, Dana Delany, Adrian Grenier, Barry Levinson, Cheryl Hines, Morley Safer, Omar Epps, Marlon Wayans Steven Weber, Wendie Malick, Richard Schiff and Patricia Arquette joined Lani Hay, President & CEO of Lanmark Technology for a private dinner following The Creative Coalition’s performance event at the Library of Congress yesterday evening.

Representing Washington media were CBS’ Christine Delargy, Pamela Sorensen, Examiner’s Tara Palmeri and Nikki Schwab, Politico’s Kiki Ryan, Kate Michael, Jessica Hoy and Tim Burger who mingled with notables such as Washington Kastles owner Mark Ein, Victoria Michael and the city’s favorite master of the Rose Ceremony, Andy Baldwin.

UrbanDaddy’s Pimp Party

urbantoplessresized.jpgSugar daddies, baby daddies, cool daddies and big daddies all feted the official launch of UrbanDaddy DC at the W Hotel last night. Snowed out on Thursday evening, last night was “take two” for the schwanky shindig and a much needed break from Blizzard-palooza 2010.

Celebrating with Washington editor Jeff Dufour were a roster of over-the-top entertainers like a rockin’ deejay, bad-ass electric violinist, topless (body painted) models, dancers and notable guests such as WaPo’s Amy Argetsinger, WBJ’s Jen Nycz-Conner, Politics Daily’s Emily Miller, Matt Cooper, Washington Kastles owner Mark Ein, Winston Lord, Daily Caller’s Becca Glover, Victoria Michael, Project Beltway’s Rachel Cothran, Daily Caller’s Moira Bagley, Examiner’s Nikki Schwab, MTP’s Betsy Fischer, Politico’s Jonathan Martin, White House heartthrob Jon Favreau, TWT’s John McCaslin, Amy Holmes, Elizabeth Thorp, Equinox restaurant owners Todd and Ellen Gray, The Hill’s Christina Wilkie and the party’s planners – Barbara Martin and Jayne Sandman Dufour of Fingerprint DC.

Despite a heinous hangover, I can vouch that a good time was had by all – especially the ladies of Qorvis who dominated the dance floor.

Cheers to Three Years of Pamela’s Punch!

Some of Pamela Sorensen‘s biggest fans gathered at Hudson last night to toast three years of “Pamela’s Punch.”

After some time in the business world, Sorensen decided to focus on the “who, what, when, where” of Washington, creating a blog that promises to “satisfy your thirst for the latest juice on the coolest places, people and events.”

And she’s been delivering!

The Hill‘s Christina Wilkie, Washington Life‘s John Arundel and Janet Donovan, Victoria Michael, ABC-7′s Rebecca Cooper and TWT‘s Stephanie Green all joined Sorensen for dinner on M St. downtown.

Congrats Pamela! More pics, courtesy of Michael Domingo Photography, after the jump…
