Nico Hines Joins Daily Beast as London Editor

Nico Hines has joined The Daily Beast as its new London editor. Hines comes to the site from The Times (of London), where he had worked since 2006. He most recently served as the paper’s Washington correspondent.

In a memo announcing the move, Tina Brown wrote that Hines is “a first-rate reporter whose wit and flair will be right at home on The Beast.”

The full note from Brown is below.

I am very pleased to announce that Nico Hines has joined The Daily Beast as London Editor. Expanding our UK and European coverage at this critical time in world affairs is an exciting prospect, and we are thrilled to be doing so with someone of Nico’s talent and experience. Nico worked for The Times (of London) for seven years, most recently as Washington correspondent, spending last year on the campaign trail covering the U.S. presidential election.

Nico is a first-rate reporter whose wit and flair will be right at home on The Beast.

Please join me in welcoming Nico!
