Professional Experience

With 15 years of work experience in both libraries and archives and a Master of Library and Information Science degree, I possess exceptional research skills. My MA in Women’s and Gender Studies included a thesis on information sharing in communities for IBS suffers, making me knowledgable on women’s health issues. This provides me with first-hand experience on the growing "trailing spouse" phenomenon in academia and other professional fields. My friends come to be looking for advice on what beer to drink and how to effectively combine coupons and sales, and I spend much of my free time reminiscing about my study abroad experience in rural Austria and travels through Europe. I recently completed a 150-page manuscript covering the 125-year history of a local Chicago-area woman’s club, and have published research on information and technology policy and ethics in academic journals.
