Looking for a travel and adventure writer who's actually stepped outside the house? I'm a full-time freelancer focusing primarily on U.S. travel, the outdoors, and the environment with occasional articles about food, relationships, and education. I've authored or co-authored six guidebooks for Lonely Planet, including Los Angeles Encounter, California Trips, and the upcoming USA, and written a mix of essays, round-ups and destination pieces for the Los Angeles Times, Backpacker, Southern Living, Women's Health, and others. Adventure-wise, I've hiked to the top of Half Dome, the bottom of the Grand Canyon, the edge of Death Valley, and from hut-to-hut in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I've rafted the Gauley and Snake Rivers, biked through national parks in Utah and Wyoming, and kayaked lonely rivers from Grand Bahama to Virginia to Yellowstone.
