Showcase

General

This was a freelance assignment for the online site of Details and GQ consisting of ten FAQ for buying new snowboard equipment, and a list of five suggested setups. I enjoyed the challenge of adjusting the tone of my writing for this demographic.
This is an article I wrote early in my career about creekboating (whitewater kayaking). I still like the visual images of the rushing water and chaos.
This is a snowboard feature previewing the 2006 Olympics. The information was collected during a scouting trip I had taken the previous winter. It's fairly comprehensive covering the Olympic venues, tickets, and history. Keep in mind that the article is written for a younger audience.
An example of a serious environmental article about a topic that I uncovered, researched, and reported on. This ran as the lead news story in Hooked On The Outdoors.
