Professional Experience

I currently work in the Contracts/Legal department of a "Big 5" publisher, but I have a broader interest in trade fiction publishing, editing, and marketing. I am a 2014 graduate of the Pace University M.S. in Publishing program. My thesis is titled: A Tale In Transmedia: Forward Thinking Storytelling, which explores the use of transmedia practices on atypical genres such as children's literature and contemporary fiction. I review sci-fi/fantasy, romance, and contemporary books for Around the World in 80 Books (www.80booksblog.com). The blog was created to focus on reading genre books and looking for diverse authors and characters. I also run another personal blog called Carbtastic, Nerdtastic, Fantastic, where I post about food, nerdy things (like books!), and the random things I do in New York (heather-allen.com). I am internet savvy, passionate about books and publishing, and I am always reading. Find me on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/hahanella
