Professional Experience

I am a freelance writer, editor, and teacher. My first book, Handcrafted Maine, an in-depth look at maker culture in my adopted home state, is due out in September 2017 from Princeton Architectural Press. I specialize in stories about art, culture, travel, and the natural world. I am particularly interested in stories of people and place—how we live in the landscape, how we shape our environments, and how we pay tribute to nature through our art, culture, and creations.
