Professional Experience

I'm a sportswriter by trade who also specializes in discovering the latest trends in hair, makeup and fashion. My other specialty is exploring topics related to ethnic diversity at home and abroad. Over the last 15 years, I've found a way to merge my wildly divergent interests into a rather eclectic body of work, one that includes features on athlete hairstyles and the experience of watching NASCAR in Mexico City. As a former newspaper reporter with a combined 10 years of sports writing experience at the Detroit Free Press and Orlando Sentinel, I am accustomed to writing on deadline, completing interviews with prominent figures and generating story ideas. I also contributed to magazines on a part-time basis during that period, and am now looking to expand my freelance portfolio.
