Job Summary
This position will assist in managing and developing social media and promotional content for the School of Creative Technologies at Illinois State University. This role will contribute to the school's outreach and communication strategies.
The majority of the graduate assistant's primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Content Creation
- Developing engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram and Facebook)
- Producing written, visual, and video content to highlight student and faculty work, events, and achievements.
- Creating promotional materials for online and offline distribution. - Social Media Management
- Maintaining and updating the school's social media accounts.
- Scheduling and monitoring social media posts. - Promotional Support
- Assisting with the planning and execution of promotional events to help with student engagement.
- Helping to increase student recruitment through online and in-person events.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$755 for 0.25 FTE appointment
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at Graduate Assistant Handbook.
- Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in one of the following academic programs: Communication, Marketing, MBA, Recreation Administration, Creative Technologies.
- Familiarity with one of the following digital mediums: sound, video, web, motion graphics.
