Pictorial Artists are responsible for maintaining the show quality of animated figures and props and require "Disney Standard" artistic talent and expertise to support pictorial needs throughout Disneyland Resort.

Work duties include daily field-work at the attractions to sustain the show-quality levels of existing assets, in-shop work for assets being overhauled, and occasional work on new assets while following art direction.

Responsibilities:

• Pictorial maintenance of attractions, restaurants, and merchandise locations (interior and exterior) throughout Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, as well as other locations such as Disneyland Resort Hotels. Travel to sites may involve using a cart or bicycle, climbing ladders and stairs, using scaffolding, and maneuvering around attractions.
• Painting murals, props, sets, or figures as needed for window displays, new projects, attractions, etc., which requires periods of standing, kneeling, or sitting while painting.
• Logging the volume of materials used, in compliance with environmental regulations concerning VOCs.

Qualifications:

Basic:

• Availability to work early-morning shifts, Monday-Friday, including holidays, with occasional shifts on weekends during 2nd or 3rd shifts.
• Technical skills including a portfolio review, airbrushing, spray-gun skills, knowledge of various substrates and paints, drawing, tool use, brush blending, shading, highlighting, color matching, fine-line painting, graphics, lettering, and understanding of the entire paint process.

Desired:

• Experience painting three-dimensional objects/characters.
• Experience in aging, graining, and faux finishing.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time role requiring full availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may start as early as 6:00 AM or end as late as 5:00 AM. The pay rate in California ranges from $37.44 to $53.02 per hour, depending on experience and location, with benefits available as per the collective bargaining agreement.
