Responsibilities

• Lead copy editor on multiple brands
• Copyedit, fact-check, and proofread promotional and educational materials for physicians, healthcare professionals, and patients, from manuscript to print or digital production
• Collaborate with Account Services, Copywriters, Art Directors, and other team members to ensure high-quality print and digital materials in terms of accuracy, utility, clarity, readability, and appeal
• Coordinate with Account Services and Project Managers on project quality control timing
• Provide guidance to less experienced Copy Editors
• Assist Copywriters and Account teams with research and article retrieval
• Create and maintain brand style guides

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three to five years’ copyediting experience in a pharmaceutical advertising agency, in-house agency, or medical publishing company preferred; candidates with experience in other fields will also be considered
• Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, 10th edition is desirable
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat for copyediting is a plus

The salary range for this role in the US is $65-80/hr, depending on experience and other factors. Salaries are part of a comprehensive compensation package. Salary decisions depend on individual circumstances.
