Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Teach up to nine workload hours per semester.
  2. Create syllabus and class timeline each semester.
  3. Provide meeting times for students.
  4. Manage online grading system and submit grades promptly.
  5. Follow all university and department policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field.
  • Subject matter expertise and instructional skills.
  • Ability to support, instruct, motivate, and evaluate students.
  • Proficiency with computers, Internet, and MS Office.
  • Ability to learn BannerWeb for grading.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into teaching.
  • Professional interaction with students, colleagues, and the public.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Belmont University’s programs and services.
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline; PhD preferred.
  • Higher education teaching experience preferred.
