Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach up to nine workload hours per semester.
- Create syllabus and class timeline each semester.
- Provide meeting times for students.
- Manage online grading system and submit grades promptly.
- Follow all university and department policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field.
- Subject matter expertise and instructional skills.
- Ability to support, instruct, motivate, and evaluate students.
- Proficiency with computers, Internet, and MS Office.
- Ability to learn BannerWeb for grading.
- Ability to incorporate technology into teaching.
- Professional interaction with students, colleagues, and the public.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of Belmont University’s programs and services.
- Ability to work with diverse constituencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline; PhD preferred.
- Higher education teaching experience preferred.
