Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining familiarity with plans, specifications, schedules, and safety regulations.
2. Coordinating design efforts within WMATA, including engineering and communication support.
3. Developing design scopes for RFPs.
4. Overseeing GAEC services and reviewing design packages.
5. Ensuring code compliance and quality of project deliverables.
6. Managing design progress within budget and schedule.
7. Coordinating among design disciplines and ensuring consistency.
8. Facilitating design certification and stakeholder communication.
9. Preparing progress reports and coordinating project close-out.
10. Attending meetings and managing design submittals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
2. 15 years of project/construction management experience, with 4 years in transit design oversight.
3. Professional Engineer registration in VA, MD, or DC.
4. Knowledge of WMATA policies, federal, state, and local transit regulations.
5. Experience in planning, executing, and delivering projects in a matrix organization.
6. Excellent communication skills, familiarity with WMATA standards, OSHA 10-hour certification, and experience with Microsoft 365, Power BI, and Procore.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of value engineering. Salary range: $111,000 to $135,000 annually. This is a full-time, mid-senior level role in the design, art/creative, and IT sectors within the business consulting industry.
