divh2WPIX Is Looking For A Full-Time Sports Photographer/Editor/h2pThe Sports Photographer is responsible for shooting video, sound, editing and transmitting live content./ppResponsibilities:/pulliShoots video for Sports and News coverage/liliConfers with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements/liliSets up, composes, and executes broadcast quality video/liliMaintains all assigned equipment/liliEdits video for television broadcasts and web content/liliOperates live microwave and satellite trucks/liliPartners with reporters to develop creative, visually appealing impactful stories/liliWorks efficiently and effectively under extremely tight deadlines/liliGood judgment skills are a must./liliComprehensive understanding of ethical and legal issues concerning daily newsgathering. Must routinely use appropriate journalistic standards and guidelines./liliExcellent lighting, camera, production and editing skills./liliPerforms other duties as assigned/liliMust be able to work professionally and respectfully with others/liliA strong work ethic towards excellence/liliWork weekends and nights/li/ulpRequirements Skills:/pulliApplicants must have a flexible schedule with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays/liliCandidates will be accountable for assigned equipment, including news vehicles, cameras, lights, laptop, writing trouble reports when necessary./liliExcellent communication skills, both oral and written/liliHigh school diploma/liliFluency in English/liliMust possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record./liliMust have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in broadcast television./liliMinimum two years experience operating video recording equipment (More for larger markets and less for smaller markets)/liliProficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment/liliProficiency with video recording equipment including Sony cameras/liliAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously/liliFlexibility to work any shift/li/ulpStarting rate: $42.97 per hour/p/div
