This position is responsible for leading marketing research activities that support programming strategy, audience and customer loyalty research, and strategic product planning and customer analysis for Spectrum Networks. Must be able to bring nuanced insights into audience and programming strategy by being well versed in industry trends and company initiatives. This leader must be able to develop holistic research plans, anticipate business needs, and deliver actionable audience and market insights. This role requires a thorough understanding of data analysis and methodology. It has a wide-reaching impact on the company's ability to make better business decisions across various functions and levels, including communication with senior management.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage the audience insights function across the business in alignment with organizational programming objectives.
  2. Provide senior executives with consumer and industry insights on strategic topics such as brand perception, competitive positioning, product planning, industry trends, and competitive research.
  3. Lead high-visibility projects addressing strategic issues of importance.
  4. Identify opportunities and areas for improvement based on data trends to inform new products and operational enhancements.
  5. Act as the internal expert on planning, execution, measurement, and ROI metrics from an audience data perspective.
  6. Present research insights to editorial teams and key stakeholders across functions.
  7. Deliver top-tier research through effective project and team management, along with strategic recommendations.
  8. Use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance, applying mathematical modeling and other quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
  9. Analyze marketing and first-party data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and audience opportunities that inform marketing and engagement strategies.
  10. Build and maintain dashboards connecting multiple data sources to provide real-time analytics and impactful presentations.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to analyze and interpret primary data, including gap analysis, satisfaction, and loyalty research.
  • Ability to determine research requirements to understand marketing shortfalls or excesses.
  • Effective communication of deliverables, timelines, and obstacles to management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with key customer analysis tools.
  • Ability to prepare and present executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and relationship management skills.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Research, Marketing, Business, Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Experience managing all phases of large projects independently.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies, industry trends, and major companies and associations.
  • Understanding of cable television, internet, media, and telephony products and services.

The base salary ranges from $169,800 to $300,800, with actual offers reflecting skills, experience, and location. Incentives such as bonuses may also be available.
