• Title: Communication Arts Teacher

Essential Job Functions

1. Attend work regularly, reliably, and punctually.
2. Telework when requested by the District.
3. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
4. Create lesson plans tailored to students' individual needs, interests, and abilities.
5. Prepare and administer subject-specific tests and labs to support student learning.
6. Assess students’ work appropriately and maintain accurate records of attendance and grades.
7. Represent the school and district professionally in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students; facilitate meetings as needed.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to meet course and school-wide performance goals.
9. Assist in selecting instructional materials, including books, equipment, and supplies.
10. Perform other assigned duties.
