On Site Graphic Designer – Pizza Box Division

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in layout and packaging design, fluent in design and productivity software, and comfortable working on Mac systems. This is a fast-paced role requiring precision, organization, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare pizza box artwork based on customer specifications and brand guidelines
- Create and edit vector-based graphics and templates in Adobe Illustrator
- Develop mockups and presentations in PowerPoint to showcase designs to clients and internal teams
- Organize and manage data in Excel for tracking projects, assets, and customer specs
- Ensure all files meet production standards and print requirements
- Collaborate with the sales, production, and prepress departments to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
- Maintain consistency with brand and product standards
Requirements:
- Proficient in Mac OS systems – 1 year required
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Illustrator – 2 years required
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel – 2 years required
- Strong eye for design, layout, color, and typography
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in packaging or print design
- Familiarity with food packaging regulations and printing processes
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, related field OR verifiable professional experience in leu of degree.

HOLLY'S THROUGH THE YEARS
Holly’s Custom Print started as "Holly’s Wholesale" in 1981 by John and Dorthy Hollingshead along with their children John, Debra, Steve, and Chris. The company began by selling a full line of meats, cheeses, canned goods, and paper products to pizza shops from a one car garage located in Newark, Ohio. By the end of the second year, the company was selling $1 million worth of pizza supplies, which forced them to move to a 1,500 square foot building!
While the family serviced pizza shops, they saw a need for independent pizza shops to have a custom printed box without ordering large quantities. Holly’s was the first company in the country to develop the process to make custom printed pizza boxes available and affordable to the independent pizza shop market!
In 1997 John and Dorthy sold the food distribution division and changed its name to
Holly's Custom Print to concentrate solely on the pizza box product line. In doing so,
they moved the printing operation to a 76,000 square foot facility where we are located
today in Hebron, Ohio.
Steve Hollingshead, who spent nearly 40 years as the President of the pizza box
organization, was instrumental in leading the growth and innovation of this business.
On January 6, 2015, the co-founder John passed at 5:01pm on a Friday. John held
on until the week was over, and the day was done just as he always did with his work
ethic. His wife Dorthy Hollingshead is doing well to this day! Although John, Debra,
and Steve retired, the family tradition is carried on with Chris and his son Brad.

The company continues to be the leader in the industry, now manufacturing and distributing their custom food boxes through a vast network of foodservice wholesalers!
In 2022 & 2023, we were given the Gordon Food Service VIP Partner award for excellent partnership and service the first years of our contract.
