Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assigned up to nine workload hours per semester.
  2. Create syllabus and timeline of classes for students each semester.
  3. Provide meeting times for students.
  4. Manage online grading system and submit grades in a timely fashion.
  5. Abide by all relevant university and/or department procedures and policies.

  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to support, instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students.
  • Skilled in the use of computers, Internet resources, and MS Office software.
  • Ability to learn relevant sections of BannerWeb, Belmont University’s online database system for student grading.
  • Ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process.
  • Ability to interact professionally with students, educators, institution representatives, and the public.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Belmont University's programs and services.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.

Required Education

Master’s degree in an appropriate field or a bachelor’s degree with significant professional media experience.

Required Experience

Higher education teaching experience is preferred.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
