Role Overview The Senior Program Manager, Content and Events is responsible for developing and executing content strategy and managing content operations for AWS internal events and executive communications. This role is vital in shaping internal messaging, supporting executive communications, and creating engaging content experiences across AWS internal events. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders across AWS to align content strategies with organizational goals, ensuring operational excellence in event execution. The role involves orchestrating all aspects of internal event content strategy and operations, establishing best practices, driving innovation, and maintaining high standards in strategic planning and content delivery. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Content Development:
Develop content strategies for internal AWS events. Partner with executives on internal communications. Define content governance and editorial guidelines. Enhance internal messaging and employee engagement. Develop strategic narratives and messaging frameworks. Align content with organizational objectives.
Content Operations Management:
Oversee content workflows: planning, scheduling, catalog management. Manage speaker programs and support. Implement content operations best practices. Drive operational efficiency improvements. Manage content technology vendors and stakeholders. Conduct post-event analysis and implement improvements. Develop process documentation and training materials.
Cross-functional Leadership:
Ensure messaging alignment with executive communications. Collaborate on consistent content strategy across events. Partner on run-of-show and technical requirements. Collaborate on visual and interactive elements. Lead content operations teams. Build relationships with key stakeholders. Drive innovation in content delivery.
Content Technology & Analytics:
Oversee content management systems. Define technical requirements with Event Technology. Develop and track content performance metrics. Analyze data to optimize content and engagement. Implement automation tools to streamline workflows. Create comprehensive event documentation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience. Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements. Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, pivot tables). Experience communicating results to senior leadership and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading large cross-functional teams and agency partners. Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
