Reporting to the assigned Executive Creative Director, the Associate Creative Director requires demonstrated qualifications and skill set to contribute to and highly impact a project’s successful design solution including project-based leadership accountabilities and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

  • Lead, support and contribute to the project team's executed design solution and deliverables for assigned projects
  • Define and hold assigned project teams accountable for executing and delivering quality solutions within designated timeframes, ensuring all project leadership and feedback is considered and incorporated as agreed upon
  • Lead client presentations and communications
  • Hand sketch, digitally render or illustrate solutions throughout various Design phases: Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documentation
  • Provide leadership to assigned project teams, set project-based expectations around design fidelity for each Design phase
  • Collaborate with internal teams of producers, solutions engineers, and software developers through development, testing, and installation of projects
  • Ensure deadlines are met and work aligns with client expectations
  • Interface with outside team counterparts and internal departments to lead, identify issues, track them, and develop solutions
  • Maintain a proactive, adaptable attitude towards role responsibilities
  • Work with project Leadership Team to develop project plans considering resources and budgets
  • Maintain flexibility to travel on short notice based on project needs
  • Manage process improvements and best practices within the Creative Studio
  • Share knowledge and act as a DI subject matter expert
  • Support and mentor Creative Studio team members

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), research skills, and digital design tools like Figma
  • Ability to learn new skills/software quickly and teach others
  • Ability to give constructive feedback and document processes
  • Knowledge of touchscreens, AR, VR, and gesture-triggered experiences
  • Understanding of software development processes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Willingness to learn business development and proposal writing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain quality control
  • Independent thinking and solution-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods relevant to design

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
  • Understanding of UX, UI, Interaction, and Motion Design
  • 7-10 years of proven design and leadership experience
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, or crawling
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required: close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment
  • Ability to talk and hear

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Conditions may include exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions due to onsite fabrication processes.
