Note: Candidates who had earlier applied for the posts of Deputy Librarian or Assistant Librarian and paid the fees against the recruitment notification dated 08.03.2024, need not pay/apply again. They may update their credentials using their previous registration number, if any.
Additional positions for contractual engagement shall be decided by the Selection Committee.
Qualifications, eligibility, experience, reservations, and pay-level will be as per UGC regulations.

Position Details
Proven Librarian (Contractual for 3 years)
Pay scale as per 7th CPC at Level 14 with a rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/-
Qualifications for Librarian:
- A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- At least ten years of experience as a Librarian at any level in a university library, or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science, or ten years’ experience as a College Librarian.
- Evidence of innovative library services, including ICT integration.
- A Ph.D. Degree in library science/information science/documentation/archives and manuscript-keeping.
