Executive Producer of Digital News Content Join to apply for the Executive Producer of Digital News Content role at Sinclair Inc. WZTV/WUXP/WNAB (FOX 17 NEWS) has an immediate opening for a director of digital content to oversee news content for overall fairness and accuracy. The ideal candidate will lead a digital team and oversee production of all digital portals. You will work closely with digital content producers, newscast producers, anchors, and reporters on daily story selection and news coverage, enforcing strategies as outlined by the news director. As a newsroom leader, the Executive Producer is expected to lead by example. A successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to journalism, with skills beyond SEO practices, to help grow our digital news audience. This is not a clickbait operation. The Digital EP needs to align story production with audience needs to attract and retain digital users. Additional responsibilities include: Overseeing all digital portals to serve our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, empower, and protect audiences Supervising content producers and reporters, reviewing scripts, and providing feedback to encourage powerful storytelling appropriate to each digital platform Planning and overseeing continuity in all dayparts for digital portals Using analytics to guide coverage and growth strategies Embracing new technology to enhance digital platforms Enforcing digital deadlines Managing newsroom and handling breaking news situations to grow audiences Collaborating with News Directors and station managers on special segments Working with the sales department on digital sales initiatives Leading digital coverage of breaking news and weather, including beyond scheduled hours Skills required for success: Proven ability to create compelling stories across multiple platforms Experience managing breaking news and strict deadlines under pressure Problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset Strong commitment to journalistic ethics and standards Excellent people skills with coaching and motivating abilities Understanding of how to drive digital traffic Minimum of 3 years experience in a television news environment or equivalent College degree in Journalism or a related field preferred Strong writing skills and a results-driven approach EEO AND INCLUSIVITY: Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
