EmpowHERto partners with black and Latina girls and young women from underserved communities between 14-21, empowering them with the necessary tools to thrive and effect positive systemic change.
As a Social Media Coordinator, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more clients and donors and promote our brand. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies. The role is also responsible for reporting social analytics every month, and content planning based on creative data-driven decisions. This role will report to the Marketing Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends.
- Create engaging text, image, and video content.
- Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new programs and events.
- Measure web traffic and monitor SEO.
- Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
- Train co-workers to use social media cohesively and beneficially.
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
- Oversee social media accounts’ layout.
- Suggest new ways to attract prospective donors, like promotions and competitions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in multiple social media platforms
- In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
- Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Multitasking and analytical skills.
- BS degree in Marketing, new media, or relevant field.
- Demonstrated commitment to community engagement through sustained volunteer work or civic involvement that reflects empathy, initiative, and impact
