Job Description

1. Author maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, non-destructive testing manuals, tool & equipment manuals, and component maintenance manuals using engineering data and drawings to provide detailed aircraft airworthiness instructions.
2. Create illustrations for maintenance documents to accompany technical publications.
3. Perform quality checks of work packages for accuracy and consistency.
4. Follow and improve established procedures.
5. Collaborate with engineers, core teams, and customer service to validate maintenance procedures.
6. Preferred: Degree in an aviation-related field or equivalent technical writing experience.
7. Experience with A&P license or military aviation maintenance and Technical Orders is a plus.
8. Ability to research and analyze engineering drawings and technical data.
9. Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, manufacturing, and GAMA/ATA guidelines.
10. Experience with SGML/XML, Arbortext, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar tools.
11. Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
