Overview

At CAES in Woburn MA, as a RF Engineer, you'll design radio frequency and / or wireless transmission technology. Responsibilities

Provides radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design. Designs, plans and oversees the design of wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency planning, test equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment.This position provides the circuit designs based on the performance specification, schedule, cost, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.The RF Engineer collaborates with Manufacturing, Process, Mechanical, and System Engineering teams, to define design requirements and identify key risk factors.Design RF circuits using simulation tools such as: Microwave Office, Visual System Simulator, HFSS, ADSGenerate BOM’s (Bill of Materials), and identify necessary equipment and components to perform testsPerform PCB layouts and/or Interfaces with a layout engineers for PCB tape-outTroubleshoots circuits in test bench and simulationAbility to provide RF Performance to team and managementWrite test procedures

Qualifications

MINIMUM:B.S. in EngineeringTwo (2)+ years of experience in RF design working with AWR/ADS/HFSS circuit simulation experience or equivalentTwo (2)+ years of experience working with RF parameters: S-parameters, Noise Figure, Intercept point, Compression, Spurious and Phase NoiseMaster's Degree in Engineering and 1+ years of experience in RF design workThis position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearancePREFERRED:M.S. in Engineering and 3+ yars of experience5+ years of experience in RF design working with AWR/ADS/HFSS circuit simulation experience or equivalent5+ years of experience working with RF parameters: S-parameters, Noise Figure, Intercept point, Compression, Spurious and Phase Noise2+ Years of Experience working with RF Design Architecture Fundamentals, RF Budget Analysis and ElectroMagnetic AnalysisRequires a degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness to design and deliver highly advanced solutionsStrong oral and written communication skillsBackground in defense industryActive DOD Security Clearance
