Job Description We are always accepting applications from experienced
Senior Civil Designer
candidates to join our team. While we may not have an immediate opening in your preferred location, we can retain your application for future opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Independently complete assigned engineering designs using professional judgment.
Assist the Project Manager or serve as Project Manager, assigning tasks, scheduling, and monitoring progress.
Check the accuracy of tasks completed by team members through formal and informal QA/QC processes.
Make major design decisions that meet client needs while considering project impacts.
Identify technical, schedule, or financial issues proactively and seek resolutions.
Assist in bidding or contractor selection if authorized.
Supervise construction and field personnel involved in data collection or specific projects.
Respond to contractor questions, issue project addenda, and recommend change orders.
Contribute to engineering service proposals, estimating time and costs.
Communicate technically with clients independently.
Serve as a technical expert or Project Manager on smaller or specialized projects.
Qualifications Skills/Requirements
of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
Minimum of ten years of civil engineering design/engineering experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering automation tools (Revit, BIM 360).
Ability to operate technical analysis and computer equipment correctly.
Strong verbal and technical writing skills, with the ability to interpret technical literature and engineering plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying professional knowledge to routine and complex tasks.
Development of financial project management skills through project work and management assignments.
Maturity, professionalism, and a problem-solving attitude.
Effective two-way communication skills for working with internal staff and external clients.
