The Marketing Manager will apply creative and strategic insights to position Suffolk as the builder of choice. This role involves working closely with operations, estimating, leadership, and business development teams to develop compelling materials that communicate a clear value proposition and support the Prove Impossible Wrong brand.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead efforts to produce winning responses to RFQ/Ps and presentations to secure new work.
  2. Collaborate with operations, leadership, and business development to define value propositions and strategies that address project and client challenges.
  3. Create layouts and develop content responsive to RFQ/RFP requirements, including resumes, experience lists, and legal/financial information.
  4. Lead kickoff meetings, organize attendees, agendas, and deliverables.
  5. Prioritize and manage multiple assignments to produce quality materials that meet deadlines and branding standards.
  6. Coordinate with marketing, operations, estimating, leadership, and business development to manage timelines for submissions and presentations.
  7. Manage lessons learned and debrief sessions to improve work acquisition strategies.
  8. Partner with Corporate Marketing to develop creative solutions for RFQ/P responses.
  9. Research and develop collateral for business development efforts.
  10. Stay current with industry trends by attending programs and representing the firm at community and business events.
  11. Support, mentor, and train junior team members.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marketing experience within the AEC industry.
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, or Communications preferred.
  • Proven ability to initiate work, make strategic decisions, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills focused on customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Exceptional writing skills and a strong design sense with high creativity.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign) and Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint).

Working Conditions

Employees will spend time sitting, talking, hearing, and performing fine motor tasks involving keyboards, phones, or writing. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching are required. Vision abilities include close, distance, and depth perception, and focus adjustment. The work environment is an office setting with a quiet to moderate noise level, with some job site walking.
