Job Description:

WQMG-FM Greensboro is looking for a dynamic and fun addition to our part-time staff. We want personalities who can inform and entertain! Do you embrace connecting with your audience everywhere—over the air, social platforms, community events, station events, and video channels or podcasts? Are you skilled at social media and love engaging on the streets? Do you have a passion for R&B, Old School, and Gospel music? Are you willing to voice track on a fill-in basis for current on-air talent? Is your schedule flexible? WQMG-FM Greensboro could be the right fit for you!

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
• Participate in and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence.
• Protect the station’s FCC license.
• Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift.
• Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly.
• Operate the control board and perform production work.
• Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:

• Excellent communication and strong creative skills; solid production skills and a good working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air and production, including digital systems such as Audio Vault, Wide Orbit, VoxPro, and Adobe Audition.
• Knowledge of the format and audience required.
• Familiarity with FCC guidelines.
• Excellent on-air voice with proven media experience.
• Minimum 3 years of radio experience.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory motor vehicle record, and proof of insurance if using personal vehicle.

Vaccination & Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting; use of hands and fingers; reaching; talking and hearing. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Most work involves sitting at a broadcast board, speaking into a microphone, and manipulating controls.
